Talk Title: Assessing reliability in measures of functional and structural brain development

Abstract:The ability to reliably measure the function and volume of brain structures is the foundation on which neural substrates of memory development can be examined. While many recent studies have evaluated the reliability of MRI measures in adults, information regarding the reliability in developing samples remains unclear. In this presentation, we will first assess the reliability of functional MRI in a developing sample (n = 24, ages 8 to 20) under a subsequent memory paradigm (Lingfei). We will then assess the reliability of hippocampal subfield volumes in two developing samples (ns = 28, ages 7 to 20) under a manual segmentation protocol (Roya).

The workshop is open to all. Research assistants, graduate students and postdocs are encouraged to attend. Workshops will involve a short presentation of work (15-25 minutes) with an extended discussion at the end. The presentations will be live-streamed and recorded in collaboration with the OnNeuro platform, check it out here!

NOTE: We will be in PS 35 for this workshop! Please join us TODAY at 1pm for snacks and science!
