We celebrate diversity in brain imaging science, which enriches the educational experience for all of us, individually and collectively, by promoting the free exchange of ideas and experiences. To this end, we are committed to fostering a safe and supportive community in which all scientists are able to contribute fully regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or disability. We expect all of our members as well as other attendees at CCBBISG-organized events to behave in ways that promote the supportive and productive exchange of ideas. This commitment enhances our mission in brain imaging research and teaching by fostering an environment where different and unique perspectives are highly valued and in which open discourse leads to greater understanding of all areas of brain science.

We are committed to continuously educating ourselves about inequalities in academia. Although not an exhaustive list by any means, we have compiled resources below to increase our understanding of racial oppression in academia and ways we can be better allies. Check back later for more, and contact us if you have suggestions to add!
