Do I have to a part of the LGBTQIA+ community to join?
No! Here at Gamma Rho Lambda, we are all-inclusive and accept people of all identities, whether straight, questioning, transgender, or not into labels.
Why a sorority?
We believe that a sorority provides a unique experience for its members. The major division between Greek Life and other student organizations is the commitment: members of a sorority are committed to learning about each other’s histories, dreams, and personalities. Out primary goal is to create a family, and from what base we are able to achieve great things through social, service, and educational events.
How is Gamma Rho Lambda different from other sororities?
Like many other sororities on campus, GRL is a national, social, lettered sorority where we hold regular chapter meetings. Unlike other sororities, Gamma Rho Lambda is open to all cisgender and transgender women as well as transgender men and all gender-variant individuals who do not identify as cisgender men. Cisgender men, i.e. men who were assigned male at birth and feel their gender is in harmony with this identification, are the only gender identity that GRL does not accept as members.
What is a bid and how do I get one?
A bid is offered after a potential new member completes the following:
- Three events where one of them has to be a GRL Info Session during rush, more info will be on our facebook page

From there, a potential new member is extended an interview. Then we will reach and contact you if you receive a bid.
