The Organization

Health Education and Development Services for Underprivileged Populations (HEADS UP) is a student organization at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. The purpose of HEADS UP is to provide a medical education and mentorship program to support children who are educationally, economically, and/or socially disadvantaged. Since the conception of HEADS UP in 2017, the students in the organization have partnered with Lebron James’ I Promise School,  Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services, Champion Middle School, The Ohio State University Department of Social Change, African Youth League, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, and more to foster youth educational programming.
