Schedule
Each day of the conference will primarily be devoted to one music & science topic.
The five topics are Corpus Studies, Emotion, Rhythm & Meter, Timbre, and Pedagogy.
During each day, there will be several events.
(1) Keynote Presentation, (2) Methodology Workshop, (3) Presentations & Posters, and (4) Group Projects.
A leader in the field will deliver a presentation about each day’s central topic. The presentations will focus on the future directions of study for the specified theme. The keynote speakers include:

The keynote speakers will host a discussion about the best ways to conduct research in their area of expertise. The speakers will talk about appropriate tools, surveys, experimental designs, & technologies for researchers in 2019 and in the future.
Conference attendees are invited to submit proposals for papers. Although the conference is centered on five topics, we will consider presentations & posters from any area of music cognition.
There will also be the option of participating in a group project. The conference attendees who wish to participate in group projects will work with the keynote speaker and other experts in order to plan, execute, and analyze a study related to the five central topics of the conference. The hope is to facilitate collaboration among attendees and with the keynote speakers. Group members will likely include both researchers with expertise in the project topic and researchers who are less familiar with the project topic, but who wish to learn how to conduct such research in the future.
