The purpose of SPPO Graduate Student Organization is to provide a higher level of Spanish and Portuguese culture, history, and art awareness at the University as well as to improve and foster more student participation in our annual conference held at The Ohio State University.
Highlighted Activities:
- Meetings among graduate students to discuss and resolve (to the extent possible) issues that are relevant to SPPO graduate students
- 5-min scholar event: Open to students and faculty of SPPO this event allows researchers in the department to share their research initiatives.
- Annual OSUCHiLL and Symposium: The “flagship” event of the SPPO Graduate Student Organization, this event consists of two conferences which represent the research pursued by the members in our organization. Each year scholars from around the world participate in this event as plenary speakers and conference participants.
