Event Cancellation
A Note from the Co-Presidents:
Hello everyone,
After a year of hard work putting the event together, we are extremely disappointed to announce that the Unchained OSU 2020 Fashion Show has been cancelled. If you have not yet heard, Ohio State, among many other universities, has suspended all on-campus events due to the coronavirus outbreak. As such, we will no longer be able to hold the fashion show this spring. We are very grateful to everyone who has showed interest in this cause and has supported the event. We already had more people signed up to attend the event than last year and multiple donors, so we were looking forward to hosting our biggest show yet.
While coronavirus has stopped our event, it will not stop human trafficking from occurring. We hope that you will continue to help in the fight against human trafficking and that you will be able to attend our fashion show next year. In the meantime, if you would still like to support the Strategies for Success Scholarship, you can contribute directly to the scholarship via She Has A Name by:
Pressing the “Fund An Education” button on this page
Sending money electronically at venmo.com/shehasaname
Mailing a physical check to:
She Has a Name
605 N. High St. #12
Columbus, OH 43215
As a refresher, this scholarship assists trafficking survivors in pursuing higher education. If you already donated through Eventbrite, we will be working on refunding the money over the next few days.
We want to give a special “thank you” to the designers, donors, sponsors, and everyone involved in this year’s fashion show who have generously given their time and resources to help us raise awareness of human trafficking in the community. We would also like to encourage everyone to educate themselves and others about this very real, very local problem. There are local nonprofits that offer human trafficking trainings, volunteer opportunities, resources, and overall support anti-human trafficking efforts if you are interested in diving deeper:
