I joined CPNP because I am interested in learning more about mental health and I want to gain more exposure into the psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy world. Through CPNP, I want to raise awareness on the importance of mental health and educate others on what it is like living with a mental illness, including those with neurologic disorders, and help advocate for this specialty. Currently, my main interest is learning more about pediatrics where I can help children meet the specialized physiologic and psychological needs that they may need. When I am not studying, you can find me watching Netflix or sleeping. I currently work at Walgreens as a pharmacy intern.

I joined CPNP because I want to be an advocate for those battling mental illness & other psychiatric disorders. This is important to me because of my long-standing battle with depression, anxiety, and BPD. While the stigma surrounding mental health is changing, many lives are still being lost to suicide—a reality no one wants to face. Several people in my life have lost a loved one to suicide, and I nearly lost my life to it twice. I want to be a part of the change; I want to change the perception behind mental illness & psychiatric disorders for the lives of others. Upon graduating, I am interested in completing a residency and working as a psychiatric pharmacist. I want to help children & adolescents understand their concerns are valid, and I want to work as part of a team to ensure these patients get the help they need.”

I joined CPNP because I’m very passionate about neurology and behavioral health and I aspire to work towards helping patients through neurologic and psychiatric pharmacy. I received my B.S. in Neuroscience here at OSU and have also been involved with the Neuroscience department as an ambassador. I have a great love for behavioral neuroscience and have always been an advocate for mental health. Through CPNP, I hope to support our community to increase awareness and destigmatize mental health as well as contribute to the advancement of this field in pharmacy. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and writing poetry!

I went to Ohio State for undergrad and majored in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minor in Substance Misuse and Addiction. This minor allowed me to learn more about the complexity that is mental illness as well as foster my passion for learning more about addiction, depression, and anxiety disorders. Being a student in healthcare has made me very passionate about healthcare accessibility and equity primarily focusing on neurologic and psychiatric conditions. Complexity comes with mental illnesses, and there aren’t many solutions or answers available for patients. Being a part of CPNP, I hope to not only learn more about mental illnesses, but also hope to make an impact and raise awareness in our communities. When I’m not studying or (unintentionally) napping, you can find me running, reading, or visiting various coffee shops around the area!
