Webmaster Chair

Hello! My name is Michael Tomechko, and I am a third year serving as your AIChE webmaster chair this year! As the webmaster chair, I am in charge of writing and sending out periodic newsletters to our alumni and keeping our website and public calendar looking fresh, professional, and up to date!

My Experiences

Alongside the project and group work I have obtained from classes, I also gained some experience out of the classroom in an internship at the Bridgestone Tires Materials Testing Lab in 2021. Additionally, I am an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Psaras McGrier’s and Dr. Shang Zhai’s labs, and I spent the summer working full-time in these labs to sample the grad-student lifestyle.

My Hobbies

Outside of my classes and webmaster responsibilities, I enjoy playing tennis and spikeball with my friends, card games like poker and euchre, and some occasional video games. I also love running (although I don’t do it as often as I should haha), and I hope to eventually run the Akron/Columbus Marathon! When I don’t feel like being active, I also enjoy watching Netflix or having movie nights with my friends!
