Aviation management is our name, but our game goes far beyond that – we are pilots, engineers, business professionals and so much more

We are AAAE at OSU

We are affiliated with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) – as a result, we frequently associate with business professionals in aviation, keeping up-to-date with the latest the industry has to offer

We are Informed

The guests who come to speak to us represent all aspects of aviation – we’ve invited pilots, fleet managers, board members, and so many more. This encourages our members to ask questions, discover new things, and, above all, expand their network!

We are Touristy

We take involvement in the aviation industry to the next step on our tours, getting in-person behind-the-scenes access to airports, hangars, ATC facilities and much more. Our tours are what excite new members about AMO, but the experiences they have and the connections they build are what make them stay.

We prepare to go beyond

Involvement in AMO puts our members’ names on the radar of real-life aviation professionals, both during and after college. These students go on from Ohio State to do extraordinary things – take our former president Danny Brodson for example, who is less than a year out of college and already a key member of the finance team for American Airlines!

AMO was the perfect organization for me to be involved with because it has exposed me to so many unique sides of aviation. Additionally, it has expanded my knowledge network and experiences in aviation. It is a great organization for anyone interested in aviation, regardless of major!”

What I enjoy most about aviation: “Aviation is constantly evolving and changing how we find ourselves connected with the rest of the world – in ways we never could have imagined otherwise. It lets a native Ohioan like me talk to someone in Los Angeles, who themselves could wake up in Amsterdam or Qatar the very next morning!”

How I joined AMO: “I inadvertently came across AMO at the involvement fair. After chatting up the representatives, I decided I would attend the first meeting, since I had time. I haven’t looked back since; everything I have done at AMO changed my life for the better.”

What I enjoy most about aviation: “Two things: the logistics and the flying. Aviation is a absolute logistical nightmare by any standard, and to see behind-the-scenes the many different moving parts that keep your flight running on time? It’s nothing less than a impressive, yet insane, feat. I also personally enjoy the feeling of soaring through the air at 550 mph; perhaps it’s just the lack of oxygen getting to me, but I find the technological advancement that gets us in the air fascinating.”
