What is BSNA?

Buckeye Student Nurses Association (BSNA) is The Ohio State University’s school chapter of National Student Nurses Association (NSNA).

  • NSNA mission statement
    • NSNA’s mission is to mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, and to convey the standards, ethics, and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession.
  • The purpose of BSNA
    • to assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of healthcare,
    • to provide programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students
    • to aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life
  • At BSNA, we:
    • strive to be present in the community by doing community service
    • advocate for nursing students and healthcare
    • hold social events
    • network locally and nationwide
  • To become a member, simply sign up on the roster and attend meetings!
    • Membership for BSNA is free (discussion to follow), and membership to NSNA is optional (but highly recommended for $40/year
