The Ohio State University’s Hyperloop Team
Buckeyeloop is a student-led university-affiliated organization, filled with ambitious students looking to further explore transportation technology of the future. The drive behind our organization consists of three main initiatives:
-
Bring awareness of hyperloop technology to the Midwest
-
Immerse students in a collaborative learning armosphere centered around future engineering development
-
Compete with student-designed and student-built projects at annual hyperloop competitions
Buckeyeloop consists of 2 main components:
-
Competition Team — The competition team consists of 4 subteams: Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Vehicle Dynamics, and Control Systems. Each subteam is led by a Project Manager (PM) and assisted by Project Engineers (PEs). All project teams are supervised by our VP of Engineering, Michael Steger
-
General Body — All majors are welcome to join our organization as general body members, where members have the opportunity to hear from our sponsors, join social events, and engage in the engineering community.
Our team is open to undergraduate and graduate students, and recruitment is currently open for Fall 2023.
