E-Council
- Nominate Design for 90 for the Vital Organization Award!
- This award highlights a vital organization for the community during the pandemic. It is focusing on the organization’s efforts to keep our community healthy physically and mentally. This nomination asks for a document to explain why you are nominating the club. Hana’s submission is attached in case you would like to use it, but feel free to edit it or make your own letter to submit! You can also include a personal note of how this club helped you during this pandemic. This award could provide funding for our club so we can continue to make a difference!
- Nominations are due at the end of the month, on March 31st. Please contact me (Hana Ghazi.12) or Abby (Carruth.17) with any questions or if you would like help writing up your submission letter! You can use this link for your submission.
Think Tank
- We are working on identifying new projects to take on in the upcoming years. Please fill out this quick form if you haven’t already to help us find projects that you all will be passionate about!
Carrying Solutions
- Carrying Solutions has spent a ton of time refining the questions they plan on asking to the people at the Open Shelter.
- Finding out exactly what they want will save everyone tons of time, effort, and money. Tailoring the questions to cover all of our bases while still being accessible has been the target, a relatively tough task.
- They are also refining one of the last unknowns of the reworked design, the handlebars. They’re focused on finding the perfect balance of durability, ergonomics, and ease of fabrication. There are some really promising designs developed in SolidWorks and we’re excited to see what the Open Shelter thinks of it.
Creative Living
- The Creative Living team has completed their solution for their teacher project, shown below.
- Creative Living is working on creating a final design concept for Andrew’s assistive, rock climbing gear. They have created a materials list and are each creating 3D models of hook shapes to test in the future.
Meeting Reminder
- See you on Thursdays at 6:00 pm on Microsoft Teams!
- Don’t forget to attend our guest speaker presentation on April 8th.
