What is Creative Living?

Creative Living is a community located south of campus serving those who are physically disadvantaged (either paralysis or paraplegia)  and financially disadvantaged.

Current Project: Rock-climbing Grip for Andrew

• He is also a paraplegic with reduced grip strength. He used to rock-climb before the injury and wants to have the opportunity to do that in a way where he can use his own strength.
• We are currently in the prototyping stage of creating a design that allows him to rock-climb effectively

Past Project: Object Reacher Project for Debbie

• She has does not have any ability to stand or walk and has very little grip strength. This makes picking items off of the ground very difficult. Current devices aiding those who cannot reach the ground utilize a trigger that requires grip strength.
• We are in the prototyping stage of creating a design that allows her to pick small items off the ground.
