President – Aadesh Chordia

Aadesh is a third year studying Biomedical Science. He has been involved in Musical Memories for three years, and he’s loved every second of his time in it. Aadesh loves Musical Memories because it provides a unique opportunity to meaningfully improve the lives of the residents we sing and dance with. The work Musical Memories does is truly special, and Aadesh is honored to be a part of it.

Vice President – Libby Weisenburgh

Libby is a third year Neuroscience major with a minor in dance. This is her second year involved in Musical Memories. She became interested in the connection between movement and music, and the impact it has on degenerative neurological diseases. She enjoys using her own passion of dance to make meaningful memories with the residents at the silent discos each week.

Treasurer – Sarah Lord

Sarah is a fourth year in Chemical Engineering. This is her fourth year in Musical Memories, and she has participated in our live music playing both the viola and piano. She has enjoyed playing music in care centers from a young age and loves the special moments that come while volunteering at the Kemper House.

Volunteer Coordinator – Leena Jafri

Leena is a second year Neuroscience major. This is her second year in Musical Memories and she is involved with the club because being able to make an impact on someone battling this disease and their family is such a meaningful experience.

Events Chair – Sophia Elchynski

Sophia is a second year studying Speech and Hearing Science. She is involved in Musical Memories because she loves being able to connect one-on-one with residents at the silent discos and the incredible experience of them starting to engage with you and keep eye contact. Her favorite memory is dancing with the residents as “Can’t Help Falling In Love” plays, as it is clear they all have special memories associated with the song.

Social Media – Kirstin Pier

Kirstin Pier is currently a third-year finance major. Her favorite moment at the Kemper House was singing and dancing along to The Twist with Judy. She joined this organization because she wants to make an impact on her community. She sees this as the perfect way to combine her passions for community service and dance.
