Founded in the spring of 2018, the purpose of DJ Club at Ohio State is to connect DJ’s. We will host workshops to teach beginner DJ’s new skills, music festivals and events to provide opportunities for members to gain experience, and mixers to practice DJing together and give feedback. We also work with other organizations that need music for their events at an affordable price.

Cofounder: Evan Hamamoto

Evan graduated from Ohio State in the spring of 2019. He founded the club to help organize musical events for Ohio State students and provide lessons and opportunities for fellow DJs.

Cofounder: Nick Nitta

Nick is a fourth year CSE major that has been involved with music all his life. He has been DJing for his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, for a year playing mainly Top 40/Throwback to early 90’s 2000’s songs with interest in Deep/Ghetto House for mixing. Nick strives to teach others what he has learned with his hobby in DJing and to learn from the community of DJs he’s building with
this club. In the future, Nick wants to improve his scratching, dynamic FX usage, and library management.

President and Cofounder: Jon Snow

Jon is a fourth year Construction Systems Management major and he has been DJing for almost 2 years. Since the club was founded, he has been an active member and an officer in the club. His favorite genres to mix are House and EDM, but he also plays a lot of Rap, Top 40 and throwbacks. Jon’s main goal for DJ Club is to continue instructing members with the skills he has developed and to give experienced members the opportunities to DJ live performances.

Vice President: Joe Gerard

Joe is a first year Biomedical Science major and has been DJing professionally since early 2017. Since starting, he has DJ’d hundreds of weddings, private events, school and corporate events, as well as clubs. Joe’s main genres include Top 40, R&B, House and EDM, along with Club Anthems. Joe’s main goal in DJ Club is to teach others the skills they need to know in order to secure events and perform high-quality, memorable sets.

Treasurer: Connor Roach

Connor is a third year Accounting major and he has been DJing for almost 3 years. Since the club was founded, he has been an active member and an officer in the club. His favorite genres to mix are Trance and EDM but he also plays a lot of Top 40. Connor’s main goal for DJ Club is to continue finding great gigs for members and hosting events to teach new members skills
