About Buckeye Lunabotics
NASA’s Lunabotics is a year-long challenge to build a robot over the course of a season that will fulfill a NASA issued challenge that usually challenge university student teams to design and build a lunar mining or construction robot in a simulated space environment.
2024 Lunabotics Season
In Spring 2024, Buckeye Lunabotics went to competition for the first time, traveling to Florida to test out the robot. In the process, the team was awarded the Nova Award for Stellar Systems Engineering from a first year team. The team will start meeting during autumn 2024 to prepare for the 2025 competition season.
Our Goals
- Complete a robot build that can qualify for competition and bring it to competition
- Allow members to gain project experience and develop individual engineering skills
