Mentorship

One of our biggest functions of our student organization is providing undergraduate student mentors from The Ohio State University to local teams of all levels. Our student mentors range in skill levels and areas of expertise. Technical skills could include mechanical engineering and fabrication, electrical engineering and fabrication, robot programming, software engineering, CAD, and welding. Non-technical skills could include strategy, project management, finance, marketing, and media. Many of our student mentors are FIRST® Alumni and/or participants of our Robot in 3 Days project team and are willing to give back. Scroll down to see a list of local teams in the Columbus, Ohio area. If you believe your team is not listed or want to make any changes, contact us at firstrobotics@osu.edu.

For OSU Students, Staff, and Faculty

Are you a student, staff, or faculty member interested in mentoring a local FIRST team?
We are always looking for new mentors! By mentoring or coaching a team, you are effectively inspiring the future generation of students interested in STEM while gaining valuable leadership and team-building skills. You do not have to be a FIRST Alumni to be a part of our student organization. Click here to fill out our interest form to be added to our general mailing list, and indicate what level of FIRST you are interested in mentoring so that we can provide the next appropriate steps. Any questions can be directed to firstrobotics@osu.edu.
