Memory Mates
Memory Mates is a student organization at The Ohio State University that works to support people living with dementia (PLD) and their caregivers in the Columbus community. We develop art kits that give PLD and caregivers and opportunity to connect outside of dementia-related topics and activities—to relax, have fun together, and focus on forming memories outside of dementia. Our art kits are distributed monthly at local public pick-up locations across Columbus and include supplies, written instructions, and video demonstrations for themed crafts and other arts-based activities.
Interested in Joining?
Starting in January 2026, we encourage students of all years and majors to join Memory Mates and help us develop and distribute art kits to the Columbus dementia community. Interested students can join our GroupMe or attend our general body meetings, which take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-7 p.m. Please visit our Join page for more information.
