Overview
A picture is worth a thousand words!
We organize our Annual Food Waste Photo Competition in collaboration with the OSU Food Waste Collaborative in an effort to increase awareness about the issue of food waste. This gives people a chance to portray different aspects of food waste in a creative manner.
The 1st Food Waste Photo Competition asked participants to submit a picture that exemplifies what food waste means to them. We got some really interesting submissions with the winning entry being a photograph submitted by Sarah Fisher and for her, wasted food means wasted money!
The 2nd Annual Food Waste Photo Competition wanted people to get creative and show us how food waste can be transformed into something wonderful (Theme:Waste to Wonderful)! The competition was open to all of Ohio State and Abbie Sommer’s submission depicting potato skins being turned into delicious chips won the 2019 Photo Competition.
Send us a picture capturing how you Reduce, Reuse and Rebake leftover food this holiday season and have a chance to win exciting prizes!
