Sydney Vance is a senior from Atlanta, GA, pursuing a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in American Sign Language. She aspires to obtain a career within the sports industry, utilizing contract law as a mechanism to advocate for athletes from marginalized communities.
Throughout her time at Ohio State, Sydney has been extremely involved on campus. She has worked alongside Ohio State’s Football Program for three years as a Recruitment Host and Student Administrative & Recruiting Assistant, advanced advocacy efforts for students of color through her service as the Internal Affairs Co-President and Director of Programming for the Undergraduate Society of Black Leaders (USBL), developed innovative solutions to challenges facing prominent companies during her time as a Buckeye Leadership Fellow, and fostered community amongst her peers as a Resident Advisor.
Aside from her academic work, Sydney enjoys trying Chai Lattes from various local coffee shops, playing spades with friends, traveling to new places, and rooting for the New Orleans Saints.
