As one academic year ends another will soon begin and we are excited to announce our upcoming executive board members for the 2023/2024 academic year. This week we will be introducing our new presidents, vice president and secretary.
As we bid a fond farewell to our 2022/2023 executive board members and thank them for all of their hard work and dedication to another successful year for the magazine; we are excited to welcome our future Executive board members.
The new co-presidents & co-editor–in-chiefs will be Jordan Neifert & Morgan Vereb with Lily Polete as the vice president & assistant editor-in-chief. Ella Dipold will remain as Scarlette’s secretary.
We asked the new executive board members to share a little bit of their plans for next year and what they are most excited about for the upcoming year.

I will be entering my senior year at Ohio State as a marketing major with a minor in fashion and retail studies. I will be the incoming co-president & co-editor-in-chief alongside Morgan Vereb.
“This organization has allowed me to grow so much and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of this team.”
What I am most excited about for next year is to be able to work with such an amazing team to create the best Scarlette Magazine issue yet.
I wanted to join the e-board to help develop an organization that can help me grow both personally and professionally and help the magazine grow. Another reason I am excited to join is because the members of Scarlette are so amazing which makes spending time with them a huge perk.
My favorite photoshoot during my time as a member of Scarlette Magazine has been the Spring 2023 nightlife shoot. It was so cool expressing my own personal style and showcasing Columbus nightlife with my friends.
Scarlette magazine allows you to meet so many different types of creative people that all come together to create something we can all be so proud of. This organization has allowed me to grow so much and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of this team.

I am very excited to become the new co-editor-in-chief and co-president together with Jordan Neifert during my final year at Ohio State. I am an interior design major with a minor in environment, economy, development, and sustainability (EEDS).
I look forward to getting to know and work with new Scarlette members and to reconnect with our returning members for the upcoming academic year.
After COVID-19, Scarlette Magazine had to rebuild from the ground up, and in just a couple of years we have come so far. Last semester, we released our first-ever physical magazine copy. I am happy to continue that positive trajectory by serving as co-editor-in-chief to lead this group of uniquely passionate individuals in creating something we are all proud of.
“Whether you’re interested in styling, modeling, writing, marketing or graphic design, there is a place for you in Scarlette.”
My favorite photoshoot memory was during the nightlife shoot last semester. We shot in the Short North, and even though it was freezing, we had to stop for Jeni’s ice cream halfway through to get just the right shot.
The Scarlette community truly supersedes fashion itself, It’s an amazing creative outlet that is welcoming to anyone at Ohio State. Whether you’re interested in styling, modeling, writing, marketing or graphic design, there is a place for you in Scarlette.

“Since joining Scarlette, I have been constantly inspired and encouraged by the members I’ve worked with. It is so much fun to work with and embrace everyone’s creativity to create our magazine.”
I am very excited and honored to become the vice president & assistant editor-in-chief for the upcoming academic school year. I am a marketing major with a minor in fashion and retail studies, entering my third year at Ohio State. I am excited to work with everyone on creative photoshoots and articles that come together to produce the final Scarlette issue, especially working on another printed version.
Since joining Scarlette, I have been constantly inspired and encouraged by the members I’ve worked with. It is so much fun to work with and embrace everyone’s creativity to create our magazine.
I was the shoot lead for the “Mad Hatter” photoshoot for the 2023 Spring/Summer issue and it was such a rewarding experience to get to see how my idea to enter a Wonderland-esque world turned into an amazing spread in the magazine. It took us many weeks of preparation to get from our initial mood boards into the actual studio, but I am so proud of my team that helped make my vision come to life.
The opportunities through Scarlette are endless, whether you are interested in photography, writing, social media, modeling, graphic design or anything else, there is a role for you to fill. I love the creativity of the club and we truly have the best people working on our magazine.

I am very excited to be able to continue being Scarlette Magazine’s secretary. I will be a Junior next year, majoring in studio art and minoring in marketing.
“I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined Scarlette, but I’m glad I didn’t let that intimidate me. I’ve had the opportunity to be heard, collaborate alongside like minded people and have met some amazing friends.”
I am looking forward to hearing everyone’s new ideas for photoshoots and to execute another successful year of printed magazines. I am most excited about being a member of the executive board for the upcoming academic year. I am excited to continue to help contribute to the growth and direction of the magazine after its successful comeback from the pandemic period.
Each photoshoot I’ve worked on was so much fun, but the “Barbie” shoot will always be special to me. The May-Fete shoot will also remain one of my strongest memories because it was a concept that I pitched and became a shoot leader for. Everything was going smoothly until we had terrible weather the day of the shoot and my models and I were running around barefoot and climbing trees in the freezing weather. Everyone was a good sport about it and we still ended up with some great photos that I am so proud of.
I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined Scarlette, but I’m glad I didn’t let that intimidate me. I’ve had the opportunity to be heard, collaborate alongside like minded people and have met some amazing friends. Scarlette is also entirely student-led and it’s a fantastic outlet for anyone interested in fashion and art.
