General Chair Expectations

 

These are the general requirements for chair positions. Please bear in mind that each initiative may have its own separate set of expectations and that these requirements highlighted below are the bare minimum expectations for any chair position.

4 “events” per school year

      1. At least one in-person event
      2. At least one GBM
      3. At least one community outreach event
      4. At least one surge challenge (can choose from any month)
  • At least one event has to be done in autumn semester to avoid backlogging
  1. Submit an event proposal form to the Vice President and Secretary as soon as the event is planned and finalized so the VP and Secretary can advertise the events.
  2. Submit an event reporting form to the Vice President and Secretary no later than one week after the event has occurred, OR 2 days before the end of the month; whichever comes first. 
    1. 3 pictures MUST be included in the report form for the event to count. 
  3. Engage in continued communication with the Vice President regarding the latest happenings with the initiative. 
  4. Attend all monthly chair meetings. If you are unable to attend, you MUST notify the Vice President before the meeting with your excused reason (work does not count as an excused reason).
  5. Must attend 6 out of 8 general body meetings per semester (number of meetings subject to change depending on semester). If you are unable to attend, you MUST notify the Vice President before the meeting with your excused reason (work does not count as an excused reason).
  6. Each initiative has a $50 budget/year for materials/supplies for hosting events. Keep your purchased receipt and show the Treasurer to be reimbursed.
