About Us

The Vietnamese Student Association at The Ohio State University is a cultural, non-profit organization dedicated to the general development of the student body

Like other chapters worldwide, its purpose is to provide an environment for students with Vietnamese heritage and/or interest in Vietnam to maintain and promote Vietnamese culture and tradition, have fun, assist each other, make life-long friends, and build leadership skills all through their college careers.

Our reach is not limited to just Vietnamese students. We strongly encourage and invite people of other nationalities to come and learn our unique and rich cultural history! All are invited at any point during the semester.

Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped

For this 2025-2026 school year, we will be supporting a new beneficiary,

“Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped” (VNAH)

through our Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP).

Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped

This non-profit organization is dedicated to promote policies and programs to assist and empower people with disabilities and disadvantaged children. So far, VNAH have achieved incredible numbers: 71,600 persons with disabilities have benefitted from the direct assistance from VNAH, 5,800 persons with disabilities and disadvantage youth have gained vocational skills and jobs, and 19,200 service providers have been trained to assist persons with disabilities and disadvantages.

To promote policies and programs that empower people people with disabilities, facilitating their full participation in social and economic activities within their communities.”

VNAH Mission Statement:

“To provide vocational, occupational rehabilitation services, career orientation, and training for children/youth with disabilities (CWD) at the Center. To improve the capacity of vocational/occupational rehabilitation for employees of the Center in areas of vocational, occupational rehabilitation, livelihood support, training, and guidance for disabled people.”
