We are Ohio State’s cello ensemble, featuring musicians from every corner of the university. Our mission is to perform compelling music in dynamic spaces. We strive to elevate underrepresented voices and artists. We work to give our musicians opportunities to engage new audiences with their work.
Our core ensemble features cellists studying music performance in the Ohio State School of Music, but we welcome undergrad, graduate, and post-graduate cellists from across the university and musicians from the greater Columbus community.
CELLOHIO produced the first Classical Music Rave in North America in collaboration with international and local artists. CELLOHIO has performed at TEDxOhioStateUniversity, the Columbus Metropolitan Main Library, St. John Arena, and Saint Joseph Cathedral.
Founded in August 2016, CELLOHIO is an Ohio State University student organization. Our artistic director is Lucy Reed and our executive director is Aidan Sullivan.
