11/5 – DESIGN PATTERNS

hello gccers…

no this post is not up late, actually, they always go up on Wednesdays, sometimes I’m just early. Don’t ask President Alex to confirm this though, he knows nothing about technology or the website and doing so may scare him enough to end the meeting early :II

Today we’re looking at Design Patterns and showing off two more games from the game jam!! Join us in Enarson 243 at 7:00pm or online.

10/29 – GUEST SPEAKER: NEIL KIRBY

Yes GCCers, you read that right, we have a guest speaker today! And not just any guest speaker, but OSU’s very own Professor Neil Kirby!

He’s stopping by our club this Wednesday, October 29, at 7:00 PM. As always, in-person people will meet in Enarson 243, though virtual attendance is welcome too. He’ll be talking ab

out game AI and the Game Developers Conference, though we’ll definitely have some extra time at the end, so be ready to ask questions!!

After the meeting, we’ll be hosting a brainstorm session for those who don’t want their time with GCC to end so soon…

Reminder! The Game Jam is October 10-12, this Friday-Sunday!

Oh boy oh boy, this semester’s flying by, we’re already hosting our first mini-jam of the year!! As always, we’ll be meeting this Wednesday (Sep 17) in Enarson 243 at 7:00 PM and through discord. If you don’t know what a mini-jam is, here’s how our president explained it; “A mini jam is an opportunity to create one component of a game, show it off, and get feedback!”

And that’s exactly what we’re gonna be doing tomorrow! Join us for the theme reveal, the initial brainstorming, and our jam kickoff!

Make sure to have something to show for next meeting
(or don’t, just come hang out with us :P)
