We are a group from The Ohio State University who participate in the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) competition. Every year since 2019 we have had a team and you can find out more about each year’s project on the past years page!

For the n 2020, our team received a Gold Medal, won Best Undergraduate Foundational Advance Project, and was nominated for having the Best Human Practices!

For our 2021 project we are engineering a bacteriophage to reduce the harmful effects of an endotoxin released by bacteria during a severe bacterial infection also referred to as sepsis.

Contact us at igem.osu@gmail.com if you have any questions about the team or applying for the 2023 team. Applications are primarily open from December to the beginning of January!
