Please limit your number of applications to 5 pieces overall; this can be any combination of the below genres. We have included length guidelines for the genres, and genre-specific quantity guidelines below.
We accept a variety of genres for literature. All submissions are requested to be in .docx format (Microsoft Word documents, or Google Docs). We also request that, in the event that the writing that your piece(s) deal with triggering or upsetting content, that you also provide a trigger warning or sensitive topic warning at the top of documents they are submitting. - Poetry: Up to 5 poems may be submitted by a single author.
- Flash Fiction: stories that are 500 words or less. Writers may submit up to 3 flash fiction submissions.
- Short Stories: stories that are 500-1200 words. Writers may submit up to 2 short story submissions.
- Personal Essays or other kinds of essays: 500-1200 words. Writers may submit up to 2 essay submissions.
