One Year Since Startup
How We Got Started
There was an idea, to bring one of the most grossing STEM based competition to one of the largest universities in the world. Science Olympiad at The Ohio State University, is oriented to provide a first-class competition, at a nearby location to Ohio schools, and prepare our competitors for success at regional, states, and national competitions, along with real life experiences.
Executive Team
Alex McCann
Vice President
Alex is a Senior at the Ohio State University majoring in Biological Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering.
He is currently doing his OSU capstone project on improving the transportability of microorganisms in 3 Bar Biologics, a Columbus biotech company which sells on-site fermentation technologies that improve crop yield.
After graduation he plans on working in the bioreactor or water treatment industry.
Nafees Sathik
Founder and President
Nafees is a Sophomore at the Ohio State University majoring in neuroscience, with 2 years of Science Olympiad experience at Olentangy Orange High School.
His favorite Science Olympiad event is Mission Possible. He plans on applying to medical school as well as pursuing research opportunities at OSU.
Rohit Malkan
Treasurer
Rohit is a Sophomore at The Ohio State University majoring in Business Economics and minoring in History. He has 2 years of experience in Science Olympiad, and his favorite Science Olympiad event is Thermodynamics.
He hopes to one day be the next character to play Spiderman in some form of media and start and grow his own business in San Franscico.
