On November 2nd 2025, African Youth League hosted its 30th annual African Night: Uhambo: The Journey. Uhambo is a Zulu word meaning “journey”, which was a befitting title for AYL’s 30th anniversary of hosting African Night at The Ohio State University. The show commemorated 30 rich years of AYL, and included speeches from AYL’s founders (such as Brother Jefferson & Megnot Hailu), as well as poetry relating to the event’s themes and music that tied with the event’s meaning.
