Hey everyone, we have a special event to share!
On Tuesday, February 4th, we will be hosting our next bake sale for Buckeyethon! Find us from 12-4pm at the Biomedical Research Tower to either volunteer to sell baked goods and hot cocoa or buy some of the sweet treats yourself. Either way, your dedication will help to continue to raise money for children with cancer, in particular, for a little girl named Katelyn.
Katelyn, a courageous little girl, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at the age of 5. She underwent a craniotomy and proton radiation therapy in November/December. Unfortunately, her recent scans have shown a new growth of tumors, increasing from 3 to now 23 tumors.
We bring up Katelyn’s story to remind everyone that she is one of thousands of children who are unfairly suffering from cancer in ways most of us cannot begin to comprehend. Katelyn is a strong fighter, and in honor of her bravery, we have dedicated our fundraiser in her name, hoping to bring more awareness to this tragic issue.
Therefore, we hope to see you all at the bake sale – any show of support is deeply appreciated. Thanks everyone!
