FIRST® Alumni and Robotics at Ohio State successfully concluded their first-ever run of the Scarlet & Gray FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier, held virtually from January 23 to January 30. Students that engage in the FIRST Tech Challenge program develop Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills and practice engineering principles while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas. Tournaments are exciting sporting events with head-to-head competition, judging interviews, and Teams and Robot performance awards. Eighteen (18) teams around the state of Ohio participated in this year’s challenge, ULTIMATE GOAL℠ presented by Qualcomm®, with the teams winning the awards below at our competition.
A big shout out to our Qualifier Sponsors for their support: American Electric Power, The Ohio State University College of Engineering, Triangle Fraternity, and Full STEAM Ahead.

Good luck the rest of the season! We hope to see you all next year!
