Our first meeting is tomorrow, September 12th from 7:00p-8:30p in Enarson 222. We are going to be introduce everyone to the club as well as covering some of the basics of Unity. We highly recommend coming to the meeting with Unity already installed.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

First Week Update

Now that the first week of the semester has finished, we want to give everyone an update on our current plans. Unfortunately OSU has not gotten back to us over our room reservations, so we are unable to give definitive details about the first meeting yet. When OSU gets back to us we will send out info for the first meeting time and location.

To stay informed, you can join our Discord server, or sign up for our mailing list (bit.ly/gccmail). We will also post a update here on the site. We look forward to meeting everyone soon!

Involvement Fair

We hope everyone had a great summer! Today is the involvement fair, so stop by our booth anytime from 4-7. We’ll be giving away candy as well as some Discord merch. Our booth is in the special interest section near the Arps Garage. A map of the fair can be found here.

Can’t wait to see you there!

If you are unable to check out our booth, sign up for a mailing list using this link:  bit.ly/gccmail

Upcoming Talks

Last week, we had Evan Todd come talk with us about his work as a solo dev and his game-in-progress, Deceiver. He just launched a Kickstarter today – check it out!

This Wednesday, Cody Starcher from Multivarious Games is coming to talk to us about their game, No Mercy, and his role as a producer. If you don’t know what a producer does, that’s okay. Come find out!

Finally, we have local developer and creator of Soda Dungeon, Shawn Tanner, coming to talk with us on the 28th. Make sure you come out to meet and learn from these local devs!

Welcome Back!

Hello everybody! We hope you enjoyed your break.

Our first meeting of the semester is tomorrow, 1/10, from 7 – 9 p.m. We’ll be in the Ohio Staters, Inc. Traditions Room on the second floor of the Union. Here’s a map! Keep in mind that we don’t have a permanent room this semester, so other meetings might be in different rooms in the Union.

We’ll be kicking off the semester with a one-hour game jam, so make sure to bring your laptops (or anything else you might want to work with). We can’t wait to see you there!

End-of-Semester Updates

Hello everyone!

Shirts are now available to anyone who wants one, so if you forgot to reserve one, now’s your chance! They’re $10, and we have all sizes in limited quantities.

If you’re working in a project group and aren’t in your private Discord channel yet, make sure to message an admin so we can set you up.

Our last meeting of the semester is December 6th, and our first meeting of next semester is January 10th. Keep in mind that our meetings will be at a different time (7:30-9:30) and place (the Union) in 2018. If you want to invite a speaker to a meeting or give your own presentation next semester, message an admin on Discord and we can help you schedule it.

Good luck finishing up the semester!
