Professional Events

Throughout the semester, we host various events to help facilitate the success of our students in the real world. Ranging from one on one interactions to large presentations, we strive to give buckeyes an edge over the competition! Below is a list of events we hold every year, but check the calendar for more!

Fall networking night

Our biggest event of the year, networking night provides chemical engineering students the opportunity to speak with select recruiters in a more informal setting than the career fair traditionally allows. Students can expect to leave with a better understanding of the companies and their available positions, as well as build connections with recruiters for future employment opportunities.

Company information Sessions

Throughout the semester, information sessions sponsored by companies currently recruiting chemical engineers offer an opportunity to learn more about the company’s available positions as well as build contacts with recruiters in a more personal setting.

Skill Building Sessions

A variety of professional development events are held throughout the semester to promote skills like Networking, Matlab coding, and even financial literacy. While the topics vary from year to year, the events always highlight a new area for personal growth.

Fall Career Fair Prep

A  two part session beginning with a presentation on how to make the most of your career fair experience and Q&A time for attendees, followed by resume reviews by AIChE upperclassmen.
