These are exciting times at the College of Dentistry! With Postle Hall getting a facelift and the University barbarically shutting down our old website politely encouraging us to explore new web hosting opportunities, I thought it’s about time to welcome you to the new site. So what’s in an ASDA Website?A great question. Admittedly, our old website was seldom used. To this end, my goals for this website are as follows:
1) A sleek, professional user experience
The old website was actually quite good, but it had some longer-than-desirable load times due to pictures and auto-playing videos. I’d like this website to load quickly and direct the user’s attention efficiently to their desired location.
2) A repository for OSU ASDA information and resources
Ever wonder whether the Events Chair falls under the President’s or Vice President? Want to know how to drill a perfect 30-MOD-A every time? Want to know how the OSU interview experience goes? All these questions and much much more will be on the website.
3) A small part of “rebranding” OSU ASDA
We are making a lot of changes to change the image of our organization so far. We want our members to feel like they’re getting someone out of their membership. With Rewards and a larger volume of applicable resources for our members, hopefully they’ll feel like they’re getting something for their money and time.
It turns out creating a website from scratch with virtually no web design experience or skills by yourself takes a bit of time. We’ll ask that you be patient (and uncritical) for the next few weeks.
