Casey KaiserA fourth year Psychology major with specialization in Human Development and Family Science, Casey joined BCAS around January of 2017 and quickly fell in love with the club and everything they stand for, eventually serving as the Marketing Coordinator and now Co-President with Sam.  She is a volunteer with Mental Health America, a research assistant in a Childhood Mood Disorder Lab, and will soon be starting internships with both OSU Suicide Prevention Program and the South Side Learning and Development Center. Casey loves her emotional support dog, Evie, as well as crocheting, painting, and all things crafty. Give her book and movie recommendations because she is ALWAYS looking for more!!

Sam Woodring: A third year majoring in Philosophy and English Literature and minoring in professional writing. She’s been involved with BCAS for the past three years, serving as Vice President last year and Co-President this year. Sam is currently interning with OSU Suicide Prevention Program and wants to continue advocating for mental health as she leaves her undergrad years. Outside of suicide prevention, Sam loves caring for her fish, Charlie, and reading new poetry.

Logan Pollander: A fourth year Environmental Policy major and Spanish minor, though BCAS isn’t directly pertinent to his major, he learned freshman year just how little he know about mental health and suicide prevention so he joined the club to educate himself! Since then, he’s has countless opportunities to expand his own knowledge and help others do the same, he is grateful for every new relationship made in the process. Logan began his time in BCAS’ executive board as Treasurer and is now privileged to serve as Vice President and Social Chair. Outside of the organization, he is involved in OSU’s triathlon club, and can often be found at the RPAC working out or life-guarding.

Gwen Mack: A second year Neuroscience major and French minor, she grew up in Chardon- outside of Cleveland. Mental health education and awareness became a passion of hers after seeing people close to her struggle. Through high school, the beaurocratic mangle of a flawed system and sports team, she found out she needed help. She joined BCAS her first semester here at OSU, and couldn’t have hoped to meet a better group of people. BCAS to her is a reminder that she is not alone in the war against the stigma. She hopes you can join us and realize that you, too, are not alone.

Lindsay Bowman: A second year Psychology major who has no idea what she wants to do, she joined BCAS at the beginning of last year because it really stood out to her as something that she cared about deeply. She is so glad to be on the executive board so she can be involved and make a difference (with the cutest animals and emails as the club’s secretary. She likes food, memes, sleeping, playing video games, watching baseball (Go Reds), and doing makeup (of which she claims she owns too much). She also loves her cat Peanut (RIP bb).

Jenna Leventhal: A second year Psychology major who plans to specialize in clinical psychology. BCAS is her heart and soul, she is always so happy to share this amazing club with others! She joined because mental health is an important topic that needs to be discussed and the things the club does to help others is incredible. She loves reading and writing, especially doing those things in a cute coffee shop, if you ever want to meet up for coffee let Jenna know!
