Announcing Science Espresso!

The School of Earth Sciences (SES) Graduate Student Club is excited to announce Science Espresso, a new weekly virtual coffee hour for the SES community! We will feature 1-3 flash talk-style research and/or service activity updates from graduate students in the first part of the hour, and the remainder of the time will be open for questions, department announcements, and general conversation and fellowship.

Science Espresso is designed to replace the Grad Club’s annual Poster Symposium, enabling graduate students to share research updates at a time and in a format that works for them in the midst of the global pandemic. Undergraduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and broader community members are invited to attend Science Espresso, and we hope to extend the invitation to give flash talks to these groups once graduate students have had a chance to share their updates!

Science Espresso will be held on Zoom every other Tuesday at 9:00 am beginning on September 22. Graduate students have received a link to sign up to give 3-5 minute talks. Please register to join (you only need to register once). We hope to see you there!
