During a trip to University Archives, members of The Sundial resolved to “get back into cocaine” after stumbling across an article from the 1930s that hinted at the organization’s former appreciation of the drug. Being able to see and touch decades-old copies of Ohio State’s humor magazine instilled pride in current members, inspiring them to celebrate their history in this way. It remains unclear exactly when the lapse in consumption occurred, but nevertheless, The Sundial would like to formally announce that staff will be moving toward cocaine use once again. “It’s not required for membership, but it sure is recommended,” says Aria Wallace, staff writer, doing a line off her BuckID. The Sundial hopes that raising its collective drug intake will help foster community within the organization, leading to increased motivation and higher quality content. Because members of The Sundial are all unpaid, they expect to be low on funds relatively soon. Information regarding upcoming fundraisers are to follow.
