On Saturday April 8th, 2022 African Youth League hosted their 5th annual African Distinction Gala: The MET Gala. This event gave the opportunity to highlight and honor prominent students that have attained achievements in many areas, specifically in academics, athletics, community service, art, and much more. Outstanding portions of this night consisted of award & superlative distributions and recaps that highlighted the meaningful and memorable experiences AYL held throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The new Executive Board for the 2022-2023 academic year was then announced and introduced at the end.
