Earlier this month, Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and in light of the new law, the state of Indiana has decided to update their official state seal. The new seal features the Soup Nazi from “Seinfeld,” a character famous for denying business to whoever he feels distain for. The infamous Soup Nazi is known for his iconic tagline: “No soup for you!” Indiana business owner and supporter of the act Casey Atkinson stated: “We really wanted our state seal to reflect our new state attitude. The Soup Nazi is such an iconic character. He really represents what the Religious Freedom Restoration Act stands for: blatant discrimination.”
