As if you didn’t already have enough in your queue, Netflix is unveiling a new line-up of original programming just in time for finals week! The Sundial explores some of the new shows you can only watch on Netflix.
Dr. Netflix
Whether it is nausea, a weird rash, or paternity disputes, Dr. Netflix knows the cure! Bring your problems to Dr. Netflix, a doctor by no medical school standards, and he will do a WebMD search just for you! Look for this new series during the peak of flu season.
The Best of the Olympics: Curling
The Winter Olympics only come every four years, but now you can watch curling every day! Spoiler alert: America wins every time in these handpicked highlights.
Vines on Loop
People really love Vine, and they really hate scrolling! Instead of scrolling endlessly through Vine for hours, this new show lets you watch one annoying Vine on loop for ten hours! It might get funnier with each passing hour, but you really don’t know until you try.
Who Wants to Win College Tuition
This program gives bedridden college students the opportunity to win college tuition by answering trivia questions from the lectures they didn’t attend. This spin-off of the popular millionaire game show is hosted by Alex Trebek as played by Will Ferrell on Saturday Night Live.
Weather Map
The best way to learn about the latest polar vortex this season is on Netflix’s Weather Map. Netflix doesn’t have meteorological technologies, but if you put a camera in front of The Weather Channel you can have your own live stream of current weather conditions! This channel will assure any lazy viewers afraid that they don’t need to be outside.
People-Watching: Netflix Edition
It’s a hilarious live stream from peoples’ webcams that are also watching Netflix. Watch people eat comfort foods and pick their noses when they think no one is watching! This is the safest and most effective way to people-watch on a college campus with 57,000 students and 56,450 students on Netflix at any given time.
In addition to the new programming, the latest Netflix update is also expected to replace the annoying “Are you still there?” prompt with “Are you still studying?” after Netflix has been closed for 30 minutes.
