I wish I had enough Christmas cheer . . . for you too
Oh, on December 26th it starts anew
364 days of hoarding enough joy for a few
This yuletide joy I’d eat by the can
It’s not to be shared with my fellow man
Others are eager to lend a helping hand
But that always leads to and?
I wish I had enough Christmas cheer . . . for you too
Oh, for 12 days of December
I don’t want to hear a member
Of the human race
plead their sad case
I’d rather eat a fruit cake by the ton
Than lose a second of fun
Stockings don’t come in pairs
So who really cares
Who has got less?
Extra wrapping paper would just make a mess
Indifference is the only solution
It’s always my New Year’s resolution
I wish I had enough Christmas cheer . . . for you too
You think I’m one selfish lad?
Just listen to my Dad:
If you’re in lots of trouble
Don’t you go bursting my boy’s bubble
He can’t pay your rent
So just live in a tent
You love a girl?
You’ll just make him hurl
Need gifts?
My boy’ll throw fits
I never slap him on the wrist
Instead I get him everything on his list
Oh, I never think twice
About whether I’m naughty or nice
The presents are always under the tree
And you bet they’re all for me
I wish everyone could understand
Why I like to be alone in my winter wonderland
That’s really all I’ve got to say
About keeping charity at bay
But before I go
Just remember not to kiss me under the mistletoe
I wish I had enough Christmas cheer . . . for you too
