The Ohio State University is world-renowned with a plethora of famous and interesting alumni such as R.L. Stine, or even Jeffrey Dahmer, so it never surprises when a celebrity decides to come and visit. Maybe they are reminiscing, maybe they have nothing better to do, maybe they are lost and this is the last place they want to be! You never know with famous people! But even every now and then, somebody completely unexpected shows up that is not Jack Harlow.
Now this celebrity sighting is somebody that has been in the mind of many paparazzi so we had to document it. We’ll give you a little background on their story and rise to fame so you can try to guess who the mysterious celebrity could be! The Tiananmen Square Protests and Massacre was a student-led demonstration against the Chinese Government. Spanning from April to June of 1989, the students were fed up with the way the Chinese Communist Party was leading the country and took to the streets to voice their opinions. In order to quell this demonstration, the CCP used military force on the demonstrators. One of the only known pictures of this incident occurring is the famed “Tank Man” picture in which a man is seen standing in front of four CCP tanks, as an act of defiance towards the government. Nobody is really sure who this man is, but we are pretty sure we just saw him in the Oval. Like at least 95% sure.
What draws the Tank Man towards areas whose names are vaguely geometric? We do not know. But what we can tell you is that we saw him walking towards the Thompson Library. Or at least we saw a guy with a white shirt and black pants walking towards Thompson. Thinking about it now, it might have just been a Mormon but we are too far into writing this article to scrap it. There were also some food robots driving towards him and that is when it finally clicked with us that the campus might be witnessing a classic OSU celebrity sighting.
