LONDON, THE BRITISH ONE – Political turmoil has found itself once again in Westminster as Prime Minster Liz Truss has announced her resignation from her position. This comes after weeks of chaos in the British economy that has suffered enough from post-Brexit woes.

After she took the seat, she immediately dispatched Queen Elizabeth from the throne, tanked their economy even further, then announced she would continue to fight and refuse to quit her post, only to immediately discontinue fighting and quit her post. This leaves British Parliament in a scramble to find a replacement, one that will preferably stay a while before another vote of no
confidence is brought to the table.

The Sundial reached out to Truss and asked about her tenure and what went wrong.

“The fact of the matter is,” Truss responded, “My plan was to take charge and further destroy an economy that has been devastated by Brexit. I was massively successful; however, my opponents weren’t happy with this at all and rightfully so.”

The move has sent shockwaves throughout the UK and the world. Many in the Tory Party have expressed their dismay. “We sent our absolute worst candidate to the fodder and it backfired immediately,” said Nigel Wesminsterorchestershirington. “Everyone saw this coming besides us apparently,” he finished. Loads of British citizens however have expressed their gratitude such as
Chauncey Fillitton III,

“A bit silly innit?”

There is no word yet on how parliament plans to move on and no one at the Sundial has any idea how British politics work so speculation is out the window.
