OHIO UNION, COLUMBUS – This past Sunday, celebrated author and former child star Jennette McCurdy came to Ohio State at the hosting of the Ohio Union Activities Board to discuss her recent book, I’m Glad My Mom Died, to a sold-out event of students and guests.

Unfortunately, the pre-selected moderator, Tim Schelman, found himself in the ear of controversy as he seemed to throw several “…your mom” jokes Jennette’s way as a way of avoiding asking hard and thought-provoking questions.

Marcy Smith, a first-year student in accounting who was applauded by McCurdy for her endurance, stated that she felt uncomfortable on behalf of Jennette for the constant attempts at humor on such a serious topic.

“At one point, the moderator yelled ‘random dancing!’ and pulled out a fake iCarly remote.”

In a message posted to instagram, OUAB has promised to review moderator preparation for future events, at an estimated cost of thirty-five to sixty million dollars of student activity fee money.

OUAB has not responded to the Sundial for comment, but sources indicate they seem to be attempting to get Gustavo to moderate the Big Time Rush event this upcoming Wednesday.
