In a surprising move on Wednesday, conservative activist Charlie Kirk and The Ohio State University’s chapter of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) have endorsed The Sundial as their go-to outlet for news. Rejecting more mainstream conservative media outlets such as Fox News and Breitbart, this move from Kirk and TPUSA seems to follow a recent pattern of conservatives turning to false information for fact.
“In my opinion, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone,” Kirk said.
“In the last two years alone, the Republican party has believed other pieces of false information, such as how Donald Trump won the 2020 election and that Barack Obama wasn’t actually born in the United States. Of course, TPUSA and I still stand by these claims, and we believe that the best way to get news that matches our ideologies is by reading The Sundial.”
Unfortunately for Charlie Kirk and TPUSA, their time as The Sundial’s number one endorsers may be coming to a fast conclusion.
It was revealed on Thursday in a comment posted by @turningpoing_osu on The Sundial’s Instagram that chief political correspondent Grant Lieberman has been diagnosed with Trump Derangement Syndrome. Sadly, there seems to be no cure for TDS at this time, and Lieberman has decided to spend what may be his last days back home with his family.
“This news hurts. Grant was one of the brightest writers we had at The Sundial,” said The Sundial’s editor-in-chief, Henry Levenberg.
“To hear of his TDS diagnosis is really heartbreaking. I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers, a true conservative practice.”
While political news may cease as a result of Lieberman’s Trump Derangement Syndrome diagnosis, Grant wanted to extend one last wish to the readers of The Sundial; definitely don’t buy tickets to the Charlie Kirk event on March 22nd and forget to show up.
