Hollie

Daniels

Hollie Daniels is an expert in the anti-trafficking field and has spoken on the topic in multiple conferences, trainings, and documentaries. A survivor of human trafficking, Hollie now dedicates her life to serving others who feel stuck in cycles of exploitation and educating professionals on how they can intervene. Hollie founded and continues to direct the non-profit organization Reaching for the Shining Starz, which provides basic necessities and invaluable support to women experiencing trafficking. Hollie owns and operates two recovery housing programs in the Columbus area for men and women recovering from substance use disorders. She also serves on the Survivor Advisory Panel for a federal grant project on identifying and responding to juvenile victims of human trafficking. Additionally, Hollie works as a marketing specialist for a drug rehabilitation center while also pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

“My name is Kim Flynn. I am the Executive Director of a nonprofit Overcomers on the Move. We are located on the west side of Columbus. We combat substance use disorder, human trafficking, and homelessness through peer support. I am a Certified Peer Supporter through the Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Board and I have worked as a licensed chemical dependency professional since 2009. I am an Overcomer.”
