Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS)

  • 10 free individual therapy sessions per academic year (20 free with SHI)
    • That said CCS has limited resources and our member’s experiences have been that they often refer people out. If you are only able to utilize CCS (ex. maybe its too hard to go off campus, or you can’t afford the copay) we recommend telling them during your intake evaluation about this barrier and how it could impact your ability to pursue care if you are referred out.  
  • Free Psychiatric and Psychological Evaluations
    • However the wait time is long and most of the time you must be actively seeing one of their consolers.
  • Lets Talk (free 15 min virtual drop)
    • Short informal consultation chats with CCS therapists to ask questions/get concerns addressed, be referred to resources. Available every weekday with specific topic specialist available, but you can go any day regardless of the topic.  Topics:

Psychological Services Center (PSC)

The PSC has a free therapy service that pairs graduate students in OSU’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program with students for a semester of weekly therapy. It starts at the beginning of the fall and spring semester so it’s best to call/email well before the start of the semester to get on their wait list. They mainly use cognitive behavioral therapy approaches (CBT).
