*There was an issue with the recording for the first five minutes of the session. During that time, both panelists introduced themselves and stated that they would be heading to Nationwide Children’s for residency. Kendra will be in the Primary Care Track and Benny plans to pursue an Endocrinology fellowship. Kendra also described her journey towards choosing Pediatrics- she discovered her passion for the specialty early on in her third year rotations. The first question asked was if they completed any away rotations, to which they both replied that they did not. In their opinion, it was not necessary to complete an away rotation in order to match into Pediatrics. The second question asked referred to the number of programs that they had applied to, which was 20-25 for both panelists. The recording starts as Kendra is answering this question.
