We all know that being single can be a good thing because it gives us the opportunity to focus on learning about ourselves, but if you’re single and ready to mingle, you’re well aware that our efforts to stay safe and remain isolated have taken a devastating toll on the OSU dating scene. So if you’re like me and find yourself unsure of when you’ll get another chance to meet a potential partner, you can take solace in the fact that, even though you don’t have a significant other, you do have this $10 Panera gift card your roommate’s mom gave you last Valentine’s Day. Neat! Maybe you already spent it on a sandwich, soup, or even a bread bowl. Who needs a partner when you’ve had one casual dining experience? But for those of you who have yet to spend your gift card, I have a few ideas for activities that the two of you can do together in the meantime that are kind of like dates:

You can take your Panera gift card to the park and look at a duck. You can learn how to rollerblade with your Panera gift card. You can lay in a field and look at the night sky with your Panera gift card. You can drive your Panera gift card to a tall hill that overlooks a city. You can make a Spotify playlist for your Panera gift card. You can play your favorite board game with your Panera gift card. You can have a riveting conversation with your Panera gift card. Finally, you can watch the 2012 romantic comedy-drama film Ruby Sparks with your Panera gift card. How fun!

Well, I hope this has been overwhelmingly helpful to those of you who are in this situation. Now you all know that, even though being single can be disheartening at times, having a Panera gift card is still pretty cool.
